Join us this week as we dive into the history, infamous inmates, escapes, and stories of Eastern State Penitentiary (ESP) in Philadelphia, PA. We discuss the history that lead to the creation of ESP and a bit of the ideology that informed the prison's early design and rehabilitation philosophy. We also take a look at how things weren't as ideal as they were made to seem and the darker aspects of it's history.
